Mind Storm releases English Grammar Mobile Applications

We are pleased to release a bunch of Android applications that are targeted towards Age Group (7-12). The Applications are focused on various topics in English Grammar.

All the applications contain a practice mode, where random questions are selected and you can practice answering them. There is also a “quiz” or “test” mode that selects 5 random questions and you need to answer them one by one.

The question banks for each of these topics have been meticulously built over 2+ years at ExamHelper, where we have quality grade worksheets for Standards 1 – 4.

We have a total of 8 Applications that we have released in the last couple of weeks:

This app is used to learn about Gender in the English language. It provides for 2 modes of practice : Masculine -> Feminine and Feminine -> Masculine. The quiz mode picks up randomly and you to have provide the answer for the opposite gender.

Singular Plural helps you master the Singular Plural in English language. It has a database of 400+ words. It has 2 modes of practice : Singular to Plural & Plural to Singular. In the Test Mode, you can do a quick quiz of 5 random questions.

Opposites helps you master Opposite words (also known as Antonyms) in the English language. By opposite words, it means words which have the opposite meaning. E.g. near & far, up down. It has a database of 500+ words. It has 2 modes of operation: practice mode and quiz mode.

Synonyms is an application that helps to learn similar words (also known as Synonyms) in the English language. By similar words, it means words which have the same meaning. E.g. ready = alert, transient = temporary. It has a database of 500+ words. It has 2 modes of operation: practice mode and quiz mode.

Test out your knowledge of Tenses in the English Language. This app lets you practice Simple Present, Simple Past Tense and Present Participle. It has 300+ questions. It has 3 modes of practice:

• Simple Present
• Simple Past Tense
• Present Participle (Gerund)

Adjectives & Adverbs helps you test out your knowledge of Adjectives and Adverbs in English language. It has a Database of 300+ words. There are 2 modes of practice: Adjective to Adverb and Adverb to Adjective. In the Test Mode, you can do a quick quiz of 5 random questions.

Homophones is an application where you have to guess the word that sounds the same.
For e.g. “lone” and “loan”, “feet” and “feat”.

The application has a database of over 150 words. You can use either the Practice Mode or the Test Mode.

Collective Nouns is an application that helps to test your knowledge of Collective Nouns. A sentence will be shown and you have to enter the collective noun. It has a database of 225+ words. There is a Practice mode and a Test Mode, you can do a quick quiz of 5 random questions.
